2019 marked the 25th anniversary of Sobek Technologies, a company that I founded after the Castor project at Polytechnique Montreal. Since 1994, we have developed and continuously improved the Geotec software for geotechnical data management, to create a tool used by more than fifty companies across Canada.
I am proud to announce that my daughter Geneviève Lessard will now be President of Sobek. I will continue to work within the company as a developer, following the evolution of the geotechnical field in order to offer a complete and powerful software to optimize the use of your data and your time.
I will take this opportunity to thank the twenty or so employees who helped make Sobek a well-recognized company in its field of expertise. I would particularly like to highlight the exceptional work of Mario Lupien and Chanthou Tan who have been with us since the very beginning. Thanks to them, we are able to maintain the high quality of technical support and maintenance that has been our trademark.
I would also like to thank all our clients who had confidence in us throughout the years. They are the ones that provide ideas for new developments, define their precise needs and validate the final product. Without their input, our software would never have attained this high-quality level.
