Licensing Options
The SobekSoft products work with a USB protection key. This key contains a personal identification number (PIN)
which allows each client to use only the programs purchased. The protection key must be connected to the
computer for the programs to work. A key (and a license) is therefore necessary for each workstation
where we want to use the software.
SobekSoft offers two types of licenses: individual or network. With the individual license, a USB key must be
installed on each station where the software is used. With the network license, a license manager program and a
protection key are installed on the server or on a station linked to the server. With the information contained
in the key, this program controls the number of concurrent users accessing the different modules on the server.
The purchase of a product offers an unlimited use. For all updates of the products with their new functions, the client
will buy the annual technical support for each program. The purchase of the technical support also includes
the phone and email support.
Our products can be purchased individually. They include Log, Lab, Pro, Site, Dam and DBM. The DBM software is
required.
It is possible to get a free trial of any Geotec software for a limited time with a temporary code.
